Which oil would you choose ?

    ok my options are as below and will be getting from there as there is 31% off at the moment

    Which would you choose and have you used any of them s can give opinions ?

    Castrol GTX 10W-40 A3/B4 4Ltr
    Valvoline Durablend Semi-Synthetic 10W40 Engine Oil (5 Litre)
    TRIPLE QX 10w40 Semi Synthetic Engine Oil - 5ltr
    Shell Helix HX7 10w40 5ltr

    Non, they're all semi-synthetic

    Millers XFS 5W-40/10W-40 is what you ought to be using.

    Would love to but cant afford £30 plus oils at the moment and any off those is gotta be better then whats in it now that resembles a black substance lol

    semi synthetic is all you should be putting in any saxo. these engines are not designed for fully synthetic.
    get the castrol they always have had good rep for oils, and are normally the main choice for race engines.

    I bet there would probably be no diffference between any of them in mine its bog standard so i cant justify as i said £30 plus oils but was leaning towards Castrol as the name has always been around associated with oil lol

    Look for the special deals at Asda they often discount castrol oils.

    Found this on there site which is great value however i can get it for £11.38 with discount from euro car parts, but thanks for letting me know about Asda as i did not even think about that

    Get the castrol for the simple reason its £12 in asda for 4l. Plus they'll generally have a few cans on the shelf, unlike euro car parts who can be fannies when it comes to keeping stock in

    Well euro parts appear to have in stock at my local branch but as i need to get a few other bits i may aswell order as worse case i can then pop along to Asda.

    I agree don't put Fully Synthetic in the engine's arn't designed for this.. Semi will be fine, I bought my castrol from Asda for £10 on offer

    Dont think i would ever bother spending £30 + on oil for a car that is 15 years old so think i will go with the Castrol as it seems the best value for money.
