VTS wireing??

Looking for a bit of help

just bought a 2002 vts having a problem with a fuse blowing all the time and I don’t know what the fuse is for

it had a 30amp fuse in was blowing changed it lasted about 20secs

Don’t know if it anything to do with it but I had a problem with the battier light staying on messed about for a while and it hasn’t been back on since. when it was on I didn’t have my tester to see if it was charging but checked it today and it’s putting out around 14volts but like I say the light isn’t on anymore.

Anyways about this fuse I am not even sure if it’s meant to be on the car I have taking some pics so have a look and let me know please

thats the fuse holder it was in the fuse box but i pulled it put to see where it went.

thats where it gos to in the main loom its the top wire the one that you can see a bit on white on.

Had a bit of a play about today and I don't think the fuse is for the power steering. Its got power steering with r without a fuse in even tried looping it over with wire just the same. I have found some numbers on the wires if anyone know what they meen? White wire 10 pp 0102 brown wire 127 * 12 p that's all I could make out. Any help?

Is there anything in your car that isnt working? Heated rear screen? Cig lighter socket? Alarm? CD Player?

If your wiring loom was damaged, someone might have fitted that fuse holder after cutting out the shitty wire...

Dont just put a piece of wire in place of the fuse, all you will do is melt the wire somewhere you cant find...

Everything seems to be working. I only jumped with wire to see if anything came on didn't leave it on for long.

Check resistance between both terminals and battery -

I did that there was nothing with battery - but on one of the wires there was about 7volts on the meter when it was on battrey + don't under stand it at all

& possibly end up with a car on fire.

No i mean check if there is a short - as in little or no resistance to ground.

Does it blow whether the ignition is on or off or both?

I will check when I get back to the car. And not sure if it does it when it off. Has anybody else not got that fuse on there car?
