Steering rack

   I got a 2nd hand rack which I am going put on my car, but does it matter how it goes on.if the rack that I told off my car was in the middle it was not full locked to any side. So i how would know if the 2nd rack will be in the middle so I can line it up again.

   Get the wheels dead on then remove the rack from the car. Use the rack from the car to adjust the new rack you have to the correct length( so they both the same) This will get you in the ball park but you will deffo need your tracking done streight after.
   
   Also it's good practice to wedge the steering wheel so it can't move when working on the rack.
