mk2 vtr battery light flickering

   noticed tonight coming back from wassy's that my battery light kept flickering :/
   now, i know it has something to do with either battery or alternator but not sure which one will cure the problem,
   
   can anyone help which one i need to buy?
   
   as i dont want to be going out and buying an alternator to find out i needed a battery and vice versa.

   First thing to try is clean up all connectors even do a tin foil job to the alternator connectors. Have a search there is a guide somewhere

   yeah just found it.
   will just clean connections , battery terminals etc and see if it goes away, if not will pop to halfrauds and get them to check voltage on both.
