heating porblem

    Hey I have a 2001 1.1 at begin of week it had a blocked rad to I drained the system and cleaned at the rad now I have refilled the system bleed it useing the air vent over back of engine and the one on top of the rad to let out all the air but now when I top up the water it pushes the water out and there still air coming up the bottel any one got any clue what this may be ??

    Don't know how you mean?

    It's simple..

    open bleed nipples
    cut the bottom off a 2 litre bottle
    have another large bottle full of water
    put hand over cut bottle top
    fill the cut bottle
    put the bottle in the rad cap
    keep filling it with the other container
    once water comes out of bleed holes.. let it run through abit..
    tighten / top with antifreeze.

    Yer done that but big air bubbles keep coming thro bottum hose but there are no leacks so can't see where this air could be coing from abd every now and agin with the bottel top off it will pushh water back out then a ir bubble will come and the water level will drop again

    They do take ages to bleed as said keep on going.

    Droped all the water again and this time I been tring for 30 misn and it won't bleed up at all now

    Fianly I think its work and chucked some rad weld in just in case

    if there was nowt wrong with your rad there is now puting that in thats a temp fix for a leaking rad
