iv tried too many times and failed at every attempt except one, its not me being a usless driver haha, when i lift the clutch it just doesnt want to wheel spin im accelerator heavy flat out it just does not pull it hits around 4k on the rev limiter and stays their whilst im flat out trying to spin then it just picks up as normal from around 4k and leaves a horrid smell of clutch behind im honestly not touching the clutch and had it adjusted recently so the biting point was lower as it was very high can anybody please help me resolve this problem please as i want to increase my acceleration and be able to spin many thanks
It wont wheel spin :/ ????

#7What you need to do it drain the oil out start it from cold hold it at redline when you hear a knock, it means its a max power so drop that clutch and hold on for dear life.7 users thanked this post: , , , , , ,

#8its not the fact i wanna wheel spin but when i pull out on roundabouts fast it hits 4k and hardly shifts whereas if it spun obviously it would be alot quicker
-
#9it wouldnt be any quicker at all if you span the wheels. to me you sound a cock but hey.
to make it quicker, pour white spirit in with the petrol.1 user thanked this post: -
#10I heard you drive like that thoughQuote:it wouldnt be any quicker at all if you span the wheels. to me you sound a cock but hey.

But +1 one the white sprit, although danny should not have said that its a racers secret!!! -
#11Id say something is wrong with your car, a 1.1 saxo reving at 4rpm then dump the clutch will spin, maybe not a burn out but will spin.Quote:its not the fact i wanna wheel spin but when i pull out on roundabouts fast it hits 4k and hardly shifts whereas if it spun obviously it would be alot quicker
Dont forget the weather is very hot, tyres sticky, roads sticky, cars dont like to be driven like a penis in hot weather in my opinion.
Will it rev and hit the limiter with ease in neutral ??? -
#13Where did you buy this saxo from?
I've heard of a few that can't wheel spin due to some special lsd in them -
#14If you can smell the clutch then your probably releasing the clutch slowly and in real life wheel spinning makes your car slower.. anyways best thing to do if you want to wheel spin is take a sander to your wheels
that's what they do on f1 cars
-
#15You need a new friction plate and some shit tyres. You sound like a prat though, you dnt need to wheelspin onto a roundabout lol at you or even launch off at 4k bloody boyracer chavs.
-
#16Wants to show them primary school girls that there mummys 1.1 can wheelspin like daddys mk4 escort...
-
#17put your right foot on the accelerator, floor it for at least ten seconds with the clutch down, this builds the boost, then release the clutch as fast as you can and if you do it right this should get the result you want.
seriously though, if not trolling, the fact you think your limiter hits at 4k means you dont really understand whats happening, and i would guess your clutch is slipping. -
#18Sounds like clutch slip to me tbf. And mine can spin up even though I don't mean it to stupid French shite.ale me feel like a dick particularly when there are people about and it does it when exiting a junction fast. Doesn't do it all the time only very occasionally buy I can make it spin if I want to.
-
#19I can imagine the op is doing a clutch control with the revs flat out then just setting off slowly..
If you want to wheel spin.... bit of revs and dump the clutch. Simple.
If you cant, then you are a shit driver, and wheel spining doesnt make you any cooler. -
#20Anyone can skid come on..
Rev, clutch up fast along with the throttle. Bapapapa *screeech BraaaascreeeBRAPPPPA
But why do you need to? -
#21What an absaloute tool.
-
#22Haha your clutch sounds fucked.

#24I wouldn't recommend red lining a 1.1 for 10 seconds you'll end up with engine parts all over the road

Rev the car fully, first gear clutch in, then instantly release the clutch (not slowly and gently which is how you learnt ;-) ) . Job done
-
#26Well, your clutch is probs fooked
Your wheels are probably far too big
and you're an embarrassment to Yorkshire

#31purchase an electric supercharger and you will do it

#32As I understand it, you want this:

#35even my 1.1 mk1 can wheelspin, only when roads are wet lol, daft idea anyway good way to ruin your tyres tho
-
#36Stick a few giant slabs in your boot, find a nice gentle uphill gradient, wet it, roll backwards then boot it.
LOOLLLLLLLLLLLLL! -
#37McD's carpark. Put some oil over front wheels (anything will do, your GF's chip fat, used engine oil, whatever). Handbrake on. Rev to limiter in 1st. Sidestep clutch. Boom! Instant
-
#39its my 1.6 vtr it revs fine in netural, and when the clutch is dipped and in gear, it drives fine but just doesnt spin its weird and my other vtr spins at low revs, its as if traction control wont let it spin up too 4k then it drives fine againQuote:Id say something is wrong with your car, a 1.1 saxo reving at 4rpm then dump the clutch will spin, maybe not a burn out but will spin.

#40You're a fool, you are one of them divvy boyracers that dip the clutch when theyre ragging the shit out of their car to make it sound like its wheel spinning lol you aint got fuck all power, dont make a fool out of yourself.
-
#41im trying to find out if i have a problem or not x_x iv been through my chavtastic stage im comaring it to my other saxo i just think theirs sometihng wrong
-
#43Let me be the first to assure you... Your Saxo does not have a problem with its traction control. It HAS no traction control...
-
#44Maybe you could go to mcdonalds get 2 plastic trays fill them with ice and drive onto them and do a really mint wheel spin then go back around the drivethrough and reward yourself with a happy meal and milkshake.. or stop being such a tool as mentioned above
-
#45why in the world would you wanna light her up
thats like going to a club door and asking when teeny boppers night is on lol =)
wheel spins r pointless save ya tire and wallet ? -
#46nooo you guys are thinking way out of the box to create a solution, you know how a turbo works right?
im going to go all 'Art Attack' here but bare with me.
Just borrow your mums sticky tape and collect all her and your old toilet roll tubes, then, once you have enough plan the route round your 'bay, cutting pieces at 45* and sticking them together for bends.
Now for the dangerous bit using a compass and a marker pen mark a circle on your bonnet as near to the O/S window as possible slightly bigger than your toilet roll tubes, then proceed to drill 2-3mm holes round the outline until you get all the way round and the circle drops out. CAUTION! this may be hot, leave it at least 3 minutes before touching it.
NOW, after taking off your standard airbox, cut a hole a in this also using the same technique above.
next, making sure they are all totally sealed push some tube through the hole in the airbox and PVA glue it in place, leaving it 10-15 minutes to dry and plumb your tubes through the bay and out the hole in the bonnet, through the window you will have to wind down and into the cabin.
Last step now, cut one tube in half and slide each side over three tubes side by side and absolutely COVER in tape literally, like a whole role so no air escapes, then plumb each one of these three into a separate air vent in the cabin and tape as so totally sealed.
now making sure your blower is OFF, or 'on zero' turn the car on and find your self some nice empty road, stop and after bracing your self, dare to turn the blower up to MAX and hold the F**K on bro.
if that doesnt work... who knows man, the worlds a crazy place -

#49Go to your local ice rink, tell the ice machine to bugger off, then have a go at trying to move anywhere.

#54If you are wanting to do wheelspins while you are driving on public roads then you shouldn't be allowed to drive a car. End of story.1 user thanked this post:
