Gearbox woes

I've just had a new clutch fitted on my 03 vtr as the release bearing was on its way out at a cost of £240 had it back one day and it was struggling to go into first gear drove about 10 miles got home tried to reverse onto the drive no gears at all wtf rang the garage and he said probably needs a new gearbox. Fuck off it was fine till they put the clutch in. Any ideas could they have made this happen while fitting the clutch?

Doubt it needs a new gearbox tbh. Make sure all the rod ends are in.

will be gear linkages they have a habbit of popping off once they been removed

I wouldn't know where to start. Will this be a costly job if it's just the linkages come off?

Oh well that don't sound too bad. I'm tearing my hair out with this car it's my third saxo and by far the best. It looks mint its quick and heavily modified. But it's been the worst for breaking on me :-/
