'Bucket' Seats

   I've seen one or 2 French cars with Recaro Seats but they weren't 'Bucket seats' they were seats but thick, high side supports, much better then the OEM seats but not racing type like bucket seats. I *Think* Gibbo has a set on his 205. What are these seats called? and what would be some suggestions? I'm average build, 6ft 1".

   came in many different cars in different materials, fiesta/escort rs turbos, escort cosworths, sierra cosworths, rover vitesses

   I don't know what they are called. I don't want the 'Track' look yet I want something nice and comfy and not in your face but still does the same job. Upon some more research I've found that Corbeau Carrera are a top hit on 106 moaners (in 2007).

   If your looking for cheap reclining recaros get a set of escort RST's and have em retrimmed. evo recaros, like above, weigh a ton and give minimal support

    The ones in the first picture could be escort rs or rover 800 vitesse (although there are only about 20 left on the roads these days).

    if you've got the readies, RS4 seats are the way forward. If you cannot afford those then try corsa VXR seats as they're very similar. Awesome seats for a standard car!

    the ebay item steve posted is for standard 205 gti seats, yes.

    you said "will be too big for a saxo" - my interpretation of that was simply "they will be too big". Much akin to how 22" wheels "will be too big for a saxo"...

    can you define practical for me? I've been in a 106 with 306 seats. And a polo with RS4 seats. Both were fine. Can reach the handbrake just fine, reach back into the rear seats (although tighter obviously).

    The seats in the original post are from a mk2 golf and they're in a mk2 golf in that picture.
    
    very nice seats but also because of the dub scene, ridiculously expensive
