changing alloy colour

    Does any body know what the cheapest way to paint alloys is?? Thinking along the lines of "doing it myself" what i need etc....

    Yeah if you want to do home made style:
    You need:

    1. Halfords Alloy Wheel Paint
    2. Alloy Wheel laquer
    3. Primer
    2. Sand Paper

    1. Fist sand them down or get them shot blasted if they are in bad condition.

    2. Then apply the primer. Do a few coats remembering to slighly sand each coat

    3. Apply the required wheel colour. Do as many coats as possible remembering to sand slightly between layers

    4. Apply a couple coats of laquer

    5. T-Cut to remove any orange peeling

    My old 205 alloys came out really well cost me £30 to do for all the materials.

    i will give it a go over the weekend, obviously it doesnt have to be halfords stuff. Not graced with the excellence of Halfords over in the isle of man, unfortunate i know.
