De wiper query

    Hi all

After looking through various guides i can see that the original grommet is hard to come by so would this be suitable alternative? link

Also what do you use to keep the glass clean? I've heard about rain x but are there other alternatives?

You are Chuck Norris's son, you probably don't even need a rear window.

Halfords sell the grommit, costs about £1.50. If you wash your car weekly you'll never miss the wiper, I haven't tried putting anything on to help with rain

Heated rear screen helps clear the rain off. No, srsly.

Don't forget to remember to remove washer jet looks better, you just need a smaller grommet to plug it with.

ive got a halfords one in mine

Is a very tight fit and cant be pushed through. been in there over a year now. Its also domed aswell so looks better

i waxed my window once to let the rain just run of it, but its never really been a problem to justify doing it again lol

As above a little wax now & then & wash the car weekly=no problems.

    Thanks for the replies guys

Trying to get the wiper arm off is proving to be a b*tch. . any ideas on how to get it off? covered it in wd40 to try and loosen it at the mo.

I used 2 knives and leaver'd it up and gave it a wiggle don't be too rough don't want to smash back window.

dont pull it too hard or you'll smash the glass! if you cant get it off with a bit of a wiggle and wd40, and you dont have a puller/ball joint splitter, then just start hacksawing it off. it doesnt take long. In most cases it just frees off when your halfway through cutting it
