common oil leak areas

   Think ive got a oil leak on my mums 1.1 forte are there any common places for them to leak from I think its on the back of the engine but not sure

   rocker cover, sump , odd times oil filter

   check your oil filter housing is nipped up and back of the rocker cover.

   Cam seal,edge of head gasket,oil breather & sump are common places.

   as said most common is either the rocker cover or the edge above the alt for the headgasket.

   I would also agree rocker cover gasket i just changed mine as i had a oil leak but the split was at the back of rocker cover, hope ya find ya problem dude

   I get abut of oil come out the oil breather pipe and to the air filter box is that normal?

    Degrease the engine,take for run it`ll make it easier looking for the leak.
