What Sensor is this & Pipe?

  1. #1
Hi Folks... A mate of mine just got his hands on a VTR turbo....

It has a pipe coming off this sensor:

Going to the dump valve connector on intercooler pipe...

My question is, where should it go?
What sensor is circled in the red?

It doesnt look like a stock VTR inlet manifold either???

Any info would be fantastic folks!

Looks like a Air mass to me

    Mk1 inlet

So circled will be the ICV.

The pipe is just a vacuum, where does the clear pipe lead to?

It should have a filtered air feed, so from the air box or at least a pipe fitted with some form of filtration

Ah, so it shouldnt have 8psi of boost going down it then! lol

    Just breather...

Well its not really a breather, its the idle control valve air feed

It used to be plumbed into the air filter

Now it just needs an oil breather filter over it
