tackling my fuel system with a video a the bottom!

    as you may know i have recent done an engine change and was wondering what i should about the fpr (fuel pressure reg) as in the car i have before the conversion it was located in the engine bay and the car that the new engine came from was located at the petrol tank!

    where would be best to located this one? would it matter if i got one on the fuel rail so that i don't have to change the fuel lines/system as it's already set up for this and would it make any difference to the running of the engine?

    Keep it in the bay mate, itd be a total cock to change the fpr over to inside car!

    ok, could i use the fpr off the s1 fuel rail and fit it to a furio one?

    would the fpr fit on the end of the furio one fine? if you remeber me showing you the furio rail and the hole on the side?

    That furio one is fucked mate ends busted off... and wrong type as well thats for a single line fpr... Get on 106 owners and ask what the inputs and outputs are for the s1 rail...

    right progress, i turned the key 2 clicks and left it to find out the fuel pump primes for a bit then stops! so im guessing thats good news!7

    can get a vid of the engine trying to start to see what you guys think?

    the last one that goes into the wing is for the fuel canister which is in the wrong place it fits to the left of the inlet as you look at it just underneath and run through the recess on the cambelt cover the servo looks right and as for the frp it needs to vacum direct to the inlet and as the furio had the frp on tank your going to have to make your own vac point on the inlet

    The fuel rail FPRs will fit in the tank/line positions no bother - they are the same fitment. I take it you intend to run this with no fuel return from the rail to save you having to run a return feed or am I barking up the wrong tree?
    If thats what you intend it can be done - i've done it. I run a 3.0bar XSi FPR on a non return rail setup

    ok jay your fuel system is complicated lol my mrs has a x reg 106 which will have the correct setup i will have a look for you asap and do a vid+pics

    cheers for that mate, i'm going to try keep the fpr in the engine bay as that is what the car was setup for before my conversion! all i need to do by the looks of it is sort out a vacuum system for the fpr into the inlet so i reckon i should cut the vacuum from m/c to inlet put a t piece in there and route it to the fpr aswell!

    sound like a good idea?

    Don't put a t piece in the servo put it in the fuel canister one and just put a filter on the rocker cover breather

    You got it mate i wouldn't mess with the servo as it assists the brakes i left it off on my VTS by mistake and the brakes were dodgey because their was no Servo assistance if you look at my video at the fpr on the pug it has a vac that goes to the front which connects in the wing so it will be fine for you to do it
