clonk crunch knock

    Hi all I've got some awful noises coming from what I think is the suspension, basically if I go full lock either way I will get a knock, when I accelerate away i get a sort of clonking noise exactly the same noise when breaking, I am pulling my hair out, i have been underneath and had a wiggle around but can't find anything loose, has anyone had the same problem or can point me the right direction.

    +1 to CAM's suggestion..

    Put the car on axle stands or find a large curb for a faster alternative.. Then put the car full lock - and wobble the shafts either by hand or prise with a bar.. Should be a little movement, but if there is loads of play - there is your problem

    As above. It does sound like a drive shaft.
    Do you know which side its coming from?

    Checked the driveshafts today, they seem ok, also forgot to mention I get the clonk when stationary going from lock to lock

    Checked everything is tight as it should be nuts and bolts wise?
