spluttering on acceleration :/ ????

   Hi was wondering if anyone could help me please when i accelerate my car splutters then picks up fine about 2000rpm maybe a bit more it only does it now and then and mainly if im accelerating in first or second say at a roundabout or a junction :/ i think it could be down to needing a service but im not sure could anyone help would be aprichiated thanks
   
   also if i need to take it for a service how much is it going to cost and wht will they do ? cheers

   Is your engine management light on? Does it flash when its happening?
   
   Guessing coilpack is on it's way out.
   
   If EML isn't on / doesn't flash.. Then could be many things:
   
   a spark plug breaking down?
   
   Really dirty fuel filter?
   
   Blocked injectors?
   
   Blocked air filter?
   
   Crankshaft sensor?
   
   Need more info

   No EML i dont really know what to say it did it about 2/3 weeks ago maybe once a day now its happening daily its as if its struggling then after so many revs its fine again and only seems to be when i accelerate fairly harshly

   Hmm.
   
   Wouldn't be surprised if someone has took the EML bulb out lol. Got a code reader?
   
   If not, a service will tick-off some of the possible offending suspects.

   Yeah im guessing a service will sort it i had the same problem with my old saxo and a new set of plugs sorted it if i remember correctly :/ for a full service what price range would i be looking at and wht would be done ? cheers

   Not sure on how much people charge - I DIY it, but surely won't be that much for someone to do it.
   
   Basic service:
   
   Oil
   oil filter
   fuel filter
   air filter
   spark plugs
   check coolant level / top-up with antifreeze
