put some 60mm springs on today and it looks to me that there is no change

    any help?
  2. #2
are the 60mm springs for a 16v? if so wont drop it as far as your engine is lighter and they sometimes take a while to settle in
  3. #3
these are the springs i got

says 1.4 in title so not sure mate, leave them for a few days see if it drops at all
  5. #5
if it doesnt drop what shall i do?
  6. #6
    Shortened dampers used too?
  7. #7
The seller clearly states info about shortened dampers, using OE spec dampers and original component wear and tear
Did you even read the listing?
  8. #8
as said above really you should use shortened dampers as will increase wear and tear but they will still work for a while, but i would email the seller and tell him whats happened

do apex even make 1.4 specfic springs? i though all there kits were made for the vts, but ofcourse are compatable with all saxo models.

i've put 50mm spings and uprated dampers on mine. but cause its a 1.4 it only dropped it 30mm, i assume it would drop a vtr 40mm and a vts the full 50mm.

meh! Don't need to use shortened dampers, mine has been down 50mm all round for 5 years on standard dampers, still going strong! Should have just bought some better springs and not from eBay lol

Could be sitting on the bump stops, try halving them and see if it makes a difference.

There is a right & a wrong way of doing things, yours is an epic FAIL

Cause you Will take away the "suspension" in the springs, they are heated before to make the springs suspend, i dont know the right Word for it in English tho.

so if you heat them or cut them with an machine they Will be to hot and the "legering" Will go away, antd the springs Will likely snap off.

you can cut them with a hand metal saw, but thats not Good iether. If you cut one coil of the spring they Will get harder.

dont forget to let the jack down after youve finished fitting them

could they not just need time to settle?
