Tools needed for gearbox/shafts/wishbones

  1. #1
So i have been let down by a mate/mechanic (again) who was gonna change :

    Gearbox
    Clutch
    Shafts
    Wishbones

I thinking of doing it myself as he cant for another week possibly two

Ive done work on cars before, like complete braking systems, alternators and exhausts but not what i need doing.

Wondering how hard it is and what tools are needed.

    Thanks

all you need is an assortment of:

    spanners
    torx bits/sockets
    sockets
    allen keys.

extension bars, ratchet, trolley jack(s), pot to drain box oil into, gearbox drain plug, 30/32mm socket for hub nuts.

    thats about it really.

EDIT: oh and a hammer lol

Never really had experience with a hq as we never fitted anything but o.e parts and l.u.k. but general consensus here is if it isnt valeo l.u.k or sachs (i think) it isn't worth fitting.

Used this make before so im OK with them, also the VTR only cost me £200 and is a bit ropey so dont wanna chuck to much at it.
