   i start my car cold and it idols at about 1.6k rpm (too high) eventually after the idol going up and down it will settle at 950rpm
   sometimes ill be sat at traffic lights or whereever n suddenly the revs wll drop to 500 and sounds like shes choking only happened since had plugs done air filter and fuel filter

   Clean the idle air control valve out and it should solve this

   As above take the whole idle control unit off clean it with a bit of wd40, use a bit of sand paper and.make sure any crap isn't on the lip of the port! And adjust idle control screw to make sure the idle is sitting right

   You don`t use wd40,you use carb cleaner.

   well i didnt use wd40, i used a similar product that acts as a cleaner and degreser? whats wrong with using wd40

   Yes you should technically use carb cleaner but wd40 does the job well enough
