TOAD Alarm

    Hey guys,

I wanted to buy a toad alarm system for my 1.5d saxo as im going to be moving and dont know what the area is like. I went to my insurance company and they wanted to up my insurance by nearly £100 a year ... for fitting an alarm. Surley fitting this will make my insurance cheaper as there is less chance of it being stolen?

Would it just be better not to tell them? or jsut get a steering wheel lock

fitting an alarm to the car kinda denotes to thiefs you have something worth stealing in the car. and no one listens to car alarms nowadays.
saying this cant see why it increased insurance as i had a cheap one fitted and told insurance who lowered it by £60

yeah i see what you mean. might just get a steering wheel lock in that case and just leave the insurance how it is.
