ecu trouble (i think)

    hey guys, ive bought i 1.6 8v to go in my 1.1 i got 3 pin ecu,loom, engine lump etc etc. if the ecu isnt unlocked.. can you get by it without having to get it unlocked, like i have the new ingition,keys,immob box loom ecu so if i swap it all will it be okay or will the ecu still need unlocking ?

    Ecu will still need unlocking.

    Only way to use the ecu if it NOT unlocked is to have to its orignal keys immo and ECU and the car must be the same plug set up IE 3 plug to 3 plug

    okay, its going into a 1.1 3plug and its came out of a vtr 3 plug, so i have immobiliser box, orginal keys, ecu and ignition barrel, will it need unlocking or ?

    yeah, i have the vtr engine box etc etc. immob box, keys & barrel and ecu still attached to loom on engine all waiting to put in i just dont know were to start with the imobiliser box and stuff

    Do not plug the vtr ecu in to the 1.1 without taking the relay box out that's under the dash under the fuse box right at the back because as soon as you do plug it in your lock it . Disconnect it first the black box size of a 20 fag box then plug the ecu and do not plug that box back inn . If you tryed the vtr on to 1.1 and turn key you would of lock it ! Because the box is set up to each car but you can by pass it trust me ! But like said I think u already plug the ecu vtr in to the 1.1 and turn key and block it
