#2Can no one help me?
-
#3is it attached to the gearbox?
-
#4No mate its the oil dip stick attached to the sump
-
#6Its the housing that the dip stick sits in thats in the way. It is held on buy a bolt ill try undo it see what happens
-
#7Yeah should just be one bolt, and then the tube will pull out. May take abit of persuasion though!
-
#8Cool thanx ill give it ago tomorrow
-
#9If you undo the bolt (10mm?) and take the dipstick out, the top half of the dipstick tube is removable, may take a bit of a wiggle but it pulls out. Check the o-ring on it isn't knackered when you take it out too.
-
#10Ok pal cheers, where is the o ring and what does it do
-
#11Bottom on the dipstick tube. What it is for? Seal, so oil wont come out, between the engine and the tube.
-
#13yeah as said above its one 10mm bolt holding it in once undone the whole dipstick will pull out really easy
-
#14Just seals the two parts of the dipstick once slotted together, to prevent oil coming out.
If its the standard manifold you're removing, its the easiest thing in the world to get off, pretty heavy though!
Aftermarket ones tend to be a bit more fiddly but nothing major. -
#15Any idea on what the standard manis weigh? they do look a tad heavy tbf.
-
#16yeah i have to off, just finished wrapping it, it is a 4-1 piper was a bit fiddlyQuote:Just seals the two parts of the dipstick once slotted together, to prevent oil coming out.
