out of reach gear stick

   is it just me or are the saxos gear sticks a tad to far away??
   feels like i have to stretch to put it in 1st, anyone else have this problem ??
   and can it be changed easily??

   Same problem lol, when I first past my test last month I kept knocking it in 3 by mistake didn't realise how far away 1st was.

   I fitted a quick shift and a long gear knob so it's higher up but with same travel as standard better for me , might be worth a try ?

   Never had a problem myself. Not heard anyone mention it before now, quite a few mates have also had saxos/106s and never mentioned anything either.

    nah I can reach the radio and fan controller fine, if i move the seat forward legs touch the wheel.

    mine feels like u have to push it forever to get it in 1st, and its really jerky, its not smooth, but thats just worn linkages i think to be honest!

    im 6ft 2" and dont hvae a problem atall .. but this might be because i have longer arms but my partner is about 5ft 9" and has just started driving again after passing her test 2 yeaars ago and she accidently puts it into 3rd instead of 1st a few times

    im 5ft 11" i have to reach but its not difficult, but its loose as fuck i can do a 360 turn on the knob when its in gear, just linkages i reckon.

    I had this problem when I originally got my Saxo but Sussed it now. But the gear changes aren't as smooth as I'd like

    unless ure willing to change the linkages it will be a notchy change but it can help having a heavy gear knob as the weight takes some of the force needed out of the change

    im not tall only 5,11"
    just got long legs, as said above, its not over the top , just a strech, i had a corsa b and that was pretty much next to me,
    would bending the stick slightly towards me help or would it bugger somethin up??
