slight issue

   I have recently put a different vtr engine in my r reg vtr and when i put the key to 2nd ignition, the power steering pump seems to come on and the fuel pump doesnt prime.
   Is there an easy fix? I havent looked into it any more as yet. Any help appreciated as im kinda stuck now

   R reg is a mk1 1997/1998 saxo right? dumb question but what reg saxo did the new engine come out of?
   
   I had a similar problem with a mk2 1.1 saxo fitting a mk1 1.6 vtr engine, ended up in rewiring the whole car with all the mk1 loom to solve the problem without chopping the loom at all

   same goes here.
   i had a phase 2 shell with phase one 1.4 engine. got a phase 2 vtr engine and fuel pump wouldnt prime. ended up changing interior loom also and solved the problem

   Did you change key barrel? If so compare the location of the wires to the old one. Had that problem in a rallye we changed engine in
