exhaust question

   whats the difference in a mk1 and mk2 saxo vtr engine i was looking at 4-2-1 manifolds and some state mk1 only why is this ?

   mk1's have a metal oil filter which bolts to the front of the engine whereas mk2's have an adaptor which brings it up and has a plastic filter, most mk1 manifolds wont fit around this.
   
   there are a few tutorials on here to modify it, you basically remove the adapter, tap and plug the oil reture, relocate your oil sensor and get a mk1 filter and screw adaptor. easy enough to do within the hour on your drive for about £10
