K&N panel in 1.0 2000 plate

   Hi all
   
   K&N panel filter came today, ordered it from work part number E-9121 its the right one listed for the car but when you put the filter in the airbox it sits to high and when you try to push it down and turn to lock it in place it seems to tall and looks bigger then my standard one
   
   any help be grateful
   
   its the round type canister one
