Gearbox Modding?

   Hi guys after a bit of advice,
   
   Basicly i got 3 gearboxes,, my car started with a vts box but had to change it due to the bolts on casing snapped. It now has a vtr box but its sooooooo boring
   I'am planning on changeing the cases over when i have a week off work and i wanted to know 2-3 things really,
   
   1. Can i use the 5th gear from the R box in the S as i do alot of motorway driving for work
   
   2. Also the 2nd to 3rd syncro in the S box was gone can i also use the R one as its fine.
   
   Any advice would be great

   Not 100% but no on the syncros because different numbers of teeth and depends what splines the s box has for 5th gear... But possible in theory...
   
   EDIT: final drive in r and s boxes are different so swapping 5th ratio over may not give you what you want...

   Fifth is the same iirc its the diff ratio (final drive) that's different
