Steering offset

Hi guys, well my steering sat offest anti-clockwise a tiny bit but noticeable, So I thought it must be the tracking, went to get it done and they did my tracking said it was all done smack on perfect etc but the steering wheel is still sitting offset, I saw them clamp the steering wheel as they was realigning and stuff so I thought i'd go check tyre pressure, put the right amount of air in etc. but the steering is still offset !

This is really irritating me now, when I first bought the car a couple of months ago the steering wheel was bang on, I havent pranged/kurbed or hit anything, when driving in a straight line it doesn't pull to the side and it doesn't really have any effect on my driving but it's just really fucking annoying lol.

Heard it could be track rods need adjusting or something? But I just wanna know is that the most likely solution, it's not really urgent but yeah it is pissing annoying

    Cheers guys

if your track rod ends need adjusting, they should have done that at the garage.

could be something to do with the steering rack? I have the same problem and guessing its that as all my ball joints are fine. Wouldn't know for sure though tbh

have you not thought that someone could have just put the steering wheel on wonky. not sure 100% how they come off but, take it off and put it back on straight.

Surely you can just wind one track rod end in and the other side out the same amount to correct it? As long as you count the turns it should be fine.

When a garage adjusts the tracking, they adjust the track rod ends. If the problem wasn't resolved after your visit to the garage take it back as they've not done it right.
