do i need a wheel bearing turning right at speed it makes a grumberling sound but in a straight line no noise

    from the n/s

If it was a wheel bearing it would normally make a noise all of the time.
Does it make a noise on full lock, clicking kindof?
Sounds more like a driveshaft to me though...

no it doesnt click at all its odd it only does it when i turn right at speed above 30mph

    Hmm.

Jack the car up and spin the wheel, have a listen for a grinding noise and also check for play. If its got play and a grinding noise, its most likely the bearing.

Whilst you're under there have a good look over the drive shafts too, Check for movement in them and also check the gaiters.

As you turn you're loading up that side bearing (n/s) more causing the grumble /low rumble. It's the bearing itself crumbling and not rotating smoothly causing the noise I suspect.

If it is a bearing you can often feel it at this stage by jacking up the car and 12-6, 9-3 as described above. Feel for any movement in the hub.

This is true about the wheel bearing but most are twin race balls and the outside could be bad, so as you turn the other way it tries to give the front wheel negative (running on the outter balls) making a grumbling noise... Pug partner vans are favorite for these and mis diagnosis :-)

Mine started as a low whine, thought it was driveshaft as it had spat its grease out. Eventually the casing fell apart!
