266mm brakes

    Hi guys been searching for yours and just want to clarify, to upgrade to 266mm all you need is calipers, lines, pads, discs and new fluid? What's this things about carriers?

    I read the OE mc was fine with 266s? even with the 283s but has longer pedal travel with 283s.

    Correct me if im wrong ofc. *people with exp

    I got 2 axles even though the axle is fine lol. Yeah thats the one, just waiting for payday and the next and should be road worthy. Bloody rain has been holding me up.

    standard mc is shocking standard vt brakes are much better if you upgrade the mc

    will you be driving it as your daily?

    Sure but i thought, well after reading it would be better to change m/c if you went to 283+

    Whats the pedal travel like with 266's?

    I got 266mm Lucas set up with exact braided lines and 23mm M/C and the pedal feel is awesome I'm so happy with it!

    No idea on its size.

    23mm isnt standard cant remember the standard size iirc it 19 or 21 mm

    I run 266mm disc, pads & braided hoses without the bigger m/c and it runs fine, even with heavy breaking on track. I always thought it was needed for 283's+

    if its fine like you say on heavy braking on track then thats good enough for me. ( i wont hit the track )

    I thought the same. However ive spoke to a dude with 283s and he said theyre fine with the oe m/c on his cammed s.

    Info sorted for when i do get them i just couldnt be arsed to faff on changing the m/c. again sorry for jumping in OP but at least a q is answered

    Oh no this is my track/toy car. It will be used and abused lol.
