i started hearing a weird noise coming from the drivers side yesterday, if i go over 60 mph what i can only describe as a rapid catching sound its very weird. if i turn the wheel right it stops then it returns when i straighten the steering wheel. if i go about 30 mph i cant hear it unless i turn the steering wheel left on full lock but obviously the sound is not as fast.....i hope someone can understand what i am trying to say!

#2start of a wheel bearing fault or driveshaft. is it a humming sort of helicopter noise or is it thudding with a ticking noise?
-
#3any chance it's the plastic arch liner too close to the wheel? If it's lose at the front and is catching air at high speed, it will push onto the tire and rub, but be better at lower speeds (until you reduce the distance by going full lock).

#4its a ticking noise but there is no thudding, the passengers side drive shaft got replaced but apparently drivers side didn't as the garage side it was aright, there going to have a look at it tomorrow to find out what it is.

#5i will have to check that out

#6the only way I can describe better the weird sound is say your on a push bike and you stop peddling the bike makes a ticking sound...its fairly similar to that. car til be at garage tomorrow
