Alarm won't arm?

  1. #1
Randomly last night I noticed when I locked my car (Furio with standard alarm) the indicators didn't flash and the red light on the dash don't start flashing so I tried a few more times, got in the car and tried to set the alarm off and it wouldn't go! I've checked all the fuses and that all the wires are in the black box fine which they are. Anyone have any ideas or similar situations to this? Would like to get it back working! Lol
    Thanks!

Might sound a daft question but do your indicators work as normal?

Yeah I thought of that too, checked though and there all working fine! I just unplugged the black box and blew dust out of the ports and now the red light stays on but alarm still isn't arming! That's confused me even more.

In your roof console is the reciever unit for the central locking,i`d check the connections & blow out any crap.

Okay thanks I'll give that a go and let you know! But surly if that was broken it wouldn't lock though the fob still?

True but at the same time though there maybe a wire loose/come adrift which operates the lights.

Okay, still didn't work! I've checked the wires and all look connected, even traced a few back through the car to the ignition which I'm guessing are for the immobiliser. Also when the alarm was armed and i unlocked the door by pulling up a pin the alarm went off or it would bleep of a door was open which doesn't happen anymore aswell!

earlier on while trying to sort my stereo I popped 1 of the 20a fuses in the car, this stopped the centeral locking working aswell, maybe you've got a blown fuse?

Edit: just read your post again ignore this post sorry, hope you get it sorted
