it depends entirely on how you brake, if you are more of a hard heavy braker you will generate more heat than light smooth braking, so will cook the pads and disks fast, just do short runs as soon as they get hot let em cool for a lap or so then get back on it again. at least you not got green stuff theyre wank. see how you get on but if your upgrading i would recommend upgrading the calipers as this will give you more bite on the pads even if the temps are slightly hotter. I cained up my hi specs and had em smoking but still had good braking because of th sheer power of the 4 pots. Go to a good breakers yard and just find a bent gti 180 and ull get em cheap

they will work well with standard disks and pads to. I wouldnt recomend race pads if the car is a road car, as you will need good bite from cold.
