   are mk1 struts the same as mk2

   no one fits tapered drieshafts and the other fits non tapered drieshafts

   yes, the strut itself is the same, but the drive flange and inner diameter of the bearing is different.
   
   so if its the strut itself you require then you can press a new bearing in and use your original drive flange.
