Squeak At The Rear

  1. #1
When driving along i have a squeak coming from the rear drivers side.

I have searched and searched to find out what it can be, the things people are saying it could be like tightening the ARB up, its not that.

Its a continuos sqeak and its starting to get on my nerves!

    Can anyone help me?

Its coming from the whe itself, it doesn't do it when i first start driving but after like 5 mins it starts to squeak. Its fairly loud aswell.

so it does squeak like it's from the wheel. I'd look at the brakes in that case. I'm starting to assume that your drum brakes might be a little sticky, could also be your handbrake cable. Have a look in there to rule out more stuff, maybe also change your brake fluid.

Yeah i think it could be the handbrake because i park on a hill a lot, and i have to have to pull it up to the top to make it sit on the hill.

    Cheers for the quick reply.

Jump on the back.. while a mate holds a damper - if he feels vibrations - wd40 the rear damper bolts.

Mine was squeaking from there - if that's not it, I've got another idea - but hard to explain, so i'll let you try the damper bolts first

Could also be something stupid like the rear seats rubbing.

I have the same problem with mine, goes off when you apply the brakes so I assume they're sticking or something.
