warning light?

Hi

I'm a new Saxo owner.. no problems with the car and enjoying it. An amber light has just appeared on the dash, next to the Air Bag symbol.. it looks a bit like a submarine propeller.. no probs with the car but I'm wondering what this is? I didn't get a manual with the car.. any ideas?

I thought it may be something to do with the radiator so have filled the plastic bottle next to it (it was quite low)

help please! have a long journey this week and don't want to get caught out on the motorway..

Welcome to the forums.

As per the sticky at the top of this section, please remember to complete your profile as it will help us help you. You've not mentioned what model car, or what year it is.

it's the engine management light (EML) and is there for a multitude of faults I'm afraid, from the simpliest non-worrying thing, to full on car doesn't want to run status.

If the car is showing no other symptoms, it's worth getting it on a diag machine at a garage to find out what it is being caused by.

Let us know when you've done that and we'll help with how to fix whatever faults have cropped up!
