Clutch alignment tool

    Just wondering if there are any ways of getting round using one of these. Don't have one and don't know anyone that does. Putting a new clutch on new 1.4 block. . . Or am i going to have to go buy one

    I always used my finger or 1/4 or 1/2 extension.

    never used one, i always use an extension bar

    i always use a snap on ratchet handle unless its my twin plate then it has to be an old input shaft

    done by eye, or the alignment tool that's in my toolbox that came with an o.e clutch

    I do them by eye if I CBA to look for an alignment tool. Just make sure the centre hole through the friction plate lines up centre with the splines on the pressure plate.

    I tried a extension bar and a socket but they're not that great abit too much play with the ones ive got so wasn't very precise. Was looking at this one-

    i just use my finger

    I just use a screw driver and get it perfect everytime. Not only looking at the input shaft area to make sure its on evenly but also look around the edge of the friction plate to see if its even all around the edge on the outsides of the plates of the pressure plate.
