Just removed my strut on my saxo as my wheel bearings gone, just wondering if anyone knows where or has a pic of the gearbox oil fill hole

EDIT: Incase anyone asks how this is connected when removing the strut the driveshaft got stuck in the hub and very easily came out of the gearbox followed by the oil lol

there is two of the 8mm square key plugs its the higher of the two if you look at the end of the gearbox you cant miss them

Use the top breather, its easier. But you will need to unscrew the upper most filler plug and fill until oil runs out, to ensure you have 2l in if its not fully drained.

Use the breather on top.
I'd just drain the box off completely and re-fill with 2 Litres of fresh gear oil.

use the proper hole. i've NEVER had a problem using the upper of the two plugs on the end of the gearbox.

But it usually means you are scrabbling about the floor for those of us without a ramp. Plus you can just hook up one of the squeezy oil bottles with nozzle and leave it to drain down through the breather while you make a cup of tea
