Adjusting Handbrake

    I have searched around and it as simple as

    Jacking the car up, Losen the heat shield to swong it out of the way and tighten the cable?

    If its drums at the back, take the drums off and clean and adjust the brakes.

    It's better to, no point just winding up hard brake..better to do it properly

    Take drums off, simpler and much better to manipulate the cable from back there

    Adjusting the handbrake via drum brakes, does anyone know what page it is in haynes manual? Cant seem to find it.

    ye 72 lol you for real??take adjustment off cable take the drums off clean up shoes check wheel cylinders are ok if there is a ridge on drum grind it off ull see the adjuster between the two shoes adjust this up untill the drum is tight on the shoes then deajust slighley untill free bang drums back on and wheels take slack off cable check wheels still turn freely jobs a good one
