i put 20quid in and get like 98miles before lights comes on and mines a 1.4 also
  15. #15
Fair dos then, its my first car so iv never been able to compare it with others.
  16. #16
Have to get used to prices now though
  17. #17
obv depends on the driving style, gear changes, hills, driving location etc etc etc but on my hilly little town commute to work i still manage 110 miles from 20 quid from a 1.4 furio. decent i reackon
  18. #18
Would a full exhaust system affect fuel consumption?
  19. #19
44mpg on my furio, decat non silenced system
  20. #20
4.5 litres in a gallon - around 7 litres of fuel from £10..

    I get 60-80 miles from 10 litres / £12.99 - just over 2 gallon so 30-40mpg 16v

That's roughly 3.3 gallons, which works out to around 35.5mpg.

If that's from town driving, that's pretty good.

Many ways to save fuel, just common sense buddy
  24. #24
Think its better to put more fuel in at a time or just little bits?

If your not going out the way to fill up £10 at a time or so i'd say bits at a time, save weight yo
  26. #26
Definitely more, i put in a tenner when my light was on, and the light came on in about three hours. When i put in 20 it normally sits just below the half mark, or dead on it
  27. #27
    Okay cheers lads
  28. #28
False economy putting in bits at a time IMO.

Full tank, saves going to the pump every other day.

There's a guide written by barry123 on how to save fuel, look it up

i get about 170 miles outta £25 roughly, mines only a lil 1.1 though. but i like a good thrash n stick to the 60's where i can on hilly, windey country roads. whack in some of that fuel additive stuff (redex is the best brand) helps clean out the fuel tank and system and will help your car run at a better performance. i did it a few months back because my fuel was being pissed out aswel so i whacked in some fuel and oil additive ands it seemed to help out. give it a go mate.
  33. #33
Yeah country roads munches my fuel like, assuming all the gear changes.
  34. #34
if i change my oil to fully synthetic castrol and get a new air filter like a green cotton or something it will increase mpg? i use momentum fuel seems to be a bit better than normal unleaded.
  35. #35
Wow, The grammar in this thread! LOL
Made me feel a bit better about my MPG though, even though its not a saxo.
£20 i get 100 mile, if i drive very, very carefully.
I cant afford to not drive carefully, so there's little to compare it too.

Went to fill up today, and from 20 pounds last thursday i got 135 miles bang on. With estimated 3 litres left, put in another 20 tody at 1.34 per litre
