confused!

   when im driving along around 30mph the cars engine management light will come on flashing and the car will start miss firing like mad,if i turn the car off and back on it goes okay again but if i drive the car fast and keep the revs high it doesnt do it, anyone have any idea what it could be??

   i was thinking that but dont know much as only had the saxo about a month, will get a new one on tomorrow see how it goes, cheers mate

   i had the same problem but from just starting the car it would rev weird and misfire like mad. I changed to a new coil pack and sparkplugs and it did literally fack all

   start with coilpack, sounds like the problem and its not to costly either

   if its not coil pack (which seems the go to problem for every helpful person on this forum) then theres a crap ton of stuff it could be ... ive narrowed mine to the map sensor. The car isn't any different whether the map sensor is plugged in or not plugged in lol.
   
   Its never the same problem between two saxos with identical symptoms that the problem.

   mine does somthing simalar to that it missfires its tits off to the point of cutting out :/ and if i put the pedall rapidly it climbs the revs back up and starts reving at like 20- 30 revs :/
