engine cutting out

    As per title when am driving along the engine will just cut out completely the many problem with this being when this happens the brake padel goes ard and i cant brake. Any ideas what could be causing it to just randomly cut out

    The brakes will go hard as you lose servo assistance when the engine cuts out. Could literally be anything making it cut out, check the electrical items of the engine such as alternator, coilpack, loose earths etc

    okay thanks i was thinking about replacing the coil pack just to see if it makes any chance

    hi mate i did this on mine a while ago think you got a bad earth have you moved any earths? wen i changed my gearbox n clutch there r 2 earths next to each other around the gearbox i removed em to get the box out then when i put it bk on i thought they close anyway so put em together didnt have a prob then when i was driving down the road all the clocks were goin mad say max speed and max revs n stuff and engine cutting out hope this helps

    yeah but I've not been anywhere near my wiring? ill go round and tighting up my earthing away thanks!
