#4I struggle to see why you keep commenting on technical stuff when you struggled at first to change your diesel filter. Free world free speech and all that.Quote:dont take my word for it but i guess so .. dont see why not lol may be very wrong though

As cam says if there is no evidence of abs so no light, pump, wires or sensors there will be nothing there for them to test. Cant test it if its not there so cant fail it.1 user thanked this post: -
#6sorry, but i didnt "struggle" to change it, just wanted to know where it was, this is the first diesel ive had. The guy was asking so i said what i thought ... not gna join a forum and not say anything. and he posted that while i was typing.Quote:I struggle to see why you keep commenting on technical stuff when you struggled at first to change your diesel filter. #9Wont happen mate. Only the vts and the odd few vtr's had abs as standard so the tester isn't likely to notice a abs light on a car the age of saxo's. If the equipment isn't there he wont have a reason to look for the light.Quote:just i heard that this new mot testing all lights have to come on and go out once the car is running and dont know if because its a vts they goin to be looking for the abs light to come on i bin thinking about this for a while now think im goin to go a mot garage and ask them c what they say but i thought the same as you if its not there they cant test it just this dash light rubbish cheers for the replys lads much appreciated thank you1 user thanked this post:

#12When removing the ABS you will have to remove everything involved with the ABS system which will include the following:
ABS actuator
ABS wheel speed sensors
ABS sensor mounts on struts
ABS actuator fuse
On a side note you will still have the ABS rings visible...
You should then use a 4 port master cylinder as the 2 port will have the ABS M/C part number underneath (if the MOT tester was so anal to check)
Then just make sure your new non-ABS braking system is all done pucka
