#2Phone them up prior
-
#3Wouldnt bother if u was you will get a few quid
-
#4£120 i got for mine i think.
-
#5Or if the engine is in good condition could put it on eBay for £100+ don't no about a gearbox though
-
#6thanks guys. a few quid ? vs 100+
-
#8Scrapies by me only give you £15 for engine and box....
-
#9Yeah I was going to say, need to know where this scrappy is. £120 is more likely the whole damn car round here and thats if you are lucky
-
#12I managed to get £150 for my derv 106 scrap - complete car collected. Managed to get it at a high scrap price luckly. It does change week to week eh!
But yeah, naff all for just the engine and box - try egay.

#13Someone on here might buy the gearbox, if they fancy a bit of a higher final drive for spirited driving. £30 max for that I reckon if in good nick but engine is worth nothing really. You'd be better off selling the things like the rocker cover and ancillaries on ebay but you wont get much for a full 1.1 considering a VTR unit is between £50-100 for a full engine and box, and not much more for a 16v
-
#14Well worth a try though. There's a few 1.1 engines on there sellin at 100+
-
#17You'll be lucky to get £50 for an engine mate.
Probably, about £40 for the gearbox.
Gearbox will sell on saxP within days.
Engines don't sell that well to be honest though mate. -
#18HAha my bad read it wrong for some reason, long day.
Thats what i got for my whole car lol -
#19bump.... took the engine to the scrappy and got 35... manifold cat got me and extra 20spot... and sold the gearbox to a freind for 40. £95 pound from a 1.1... not to bad tbh
-
#20gd price considering you would get an extra £5 for the whole car together
