Brake fluid leaking out

  1. #1
Driving along notice my handbrake light coming on, googled it and found out it also comes on when the fluid is low. Checked the brake fluid.. was at the bottom, which is weird since I topped it up 2 days ago!

Anyways found the source of the problem, fluids leaking from the right rear wheel. Seems to be leaking over the rim and tyre and all over the road. Looking through the forum it could be the brake cylinder in the drum?

    is it an easy fix?

More than likely the cylinder has gone, you`ll need to renew the brake linings/shoes as well. Then refill the brake fluid & bleed.

What car do you have cos you either have drums or discs?

But as said brake cylinder seals are more than likely the cause of it if it's drums if it's discs then seals again in the caliper

Not mega expensive really but drums are a bit trick to do
