Speedo clock seems to stick now and again even if Ive parked up it can be reading 70 until I start it up again and drive it.The car in the past did ave some front end damage.Could this be the reason for dodgy speedo clock.
Would front end damage affect the speedo clock

#2nope. On an old cable drive speedo (AX might be cable - someone correct me?) it could potentially be an issue if the cable kinked, but I *think* all saxo's are electronic drive. Someone hopefully will be along to correct me if I'm wrong!

#3As above, unless the loom has been damaged in some way then I can`t see a problem.

#5My 1995 106 had a cable drive to the speedo. It used to bounce a little up to 20mph and then it was ok. Never had it stick though. My 1997 306 also had a cable drive but my 97 saxo has an electric speedo drive. easiest way is to get under the car and check what the gearbox drive is plugged into. OP: does the speedo needle exhibt any bouncing at low speeds?

#6IL check it out underneath. The only thing ive noticed in the past is that I might be doing say 30 and the needle has jumped up to say 40 for no reason and then would take a while to drop back down. Bit annoying if your in a 30mph restriction as your not quite sure what speed your doing!

#7Check your fuses, I had the same problem I used to turn the car off and the revs and speedo would say up to say 30 mph or something worth a rry
