#2Cut springs and 2 cliks @ the bak ay it.
but seriously coilovers up front, then lower the rear torsion bars to suit. Do not use the "click" method but remove the torsion bars and do it properly. -
#4serious answer?

#5Tom posted a serious answer at the bottom of his post

#6I have some lowering springs lying about spare but you're quite far away lol.
How low are you looking at going?
I had GAZ coilies on my old saxo and it was low, but not THAT low. If you want it to be sitting on the floor, LSOFreak (or something like that) is the one to speak to!
Think he's running GAZ with shortened springs iirc. -
#7Yeah sorry about that it wasn't very obvious lol.
If you look towards the bottom of my post there's a serious answer - although Jason's is far more in depth. (I didn't lowered my Saxo in the time I had it). -
#8Slam dat.
-
#9wana be scrapping on the floor really just wana know best way and safest/easiest way of doing this?
-
#10well you have a beam on the back that will need undoing and lowering, you cant lower the rear with sprigs. Front is the norm, springs and dampers.... Do that and you will have a SLAMMED RIDE Yo. R3$p3cT

#11If you want the safest and best way to be low install air ride. But considering you're looking at lenso wheels I'd assume air ride it out of budget. Euro is the most expensive scene for modifying a car. It really doesn't work when done on the cheap.

#12is there a tutorial on this? and how would you do the front? thnks and im gunna ignore the last comment...

#13You asked for the safest / best way to scrape the floor, I gave you the answer.

#14Plenty of guides to lowering the torsion bar, I can't link you to any ATM cause I'm on my phone but just google torsion bar lowering guide and one will come up, same principle for them all. Alternatively there are a few people on here that will do it for you, for a good price. £50-70? Correct me if I'm wrong though
If you're on about serious lows, shocks and springs probably won't do it. You'll need to go coil overs or air, but again you'll be looking at £2000+ for air ride lol.
Should be able to get a set of gaz coil overs and rear dampers new for about £400, cheaper used! Gaz will also make you some new springs for the front which are shorter so you can go lower still! I think they're also around £70, maybe less.
Depending on how low you do go though, you're going to run into a lot of problems. The PAS pipe will probably rub on the steering rack and burst lol.
Your engine sump will hate you.
Your exhaust will hate you.
Your passengers will take you.
And your car will fall apart.
But you'll be having the time of your life, so always make sure you've got a budget for repairing things that go wrong, cause they do lol. -
#15Haha cheers i know everything will scrape but owell worth the look. not gunna get air ride but probs the coilovers. when i do what do they include that goes to the rear of the car? and i like the sound of gaz ones as they do do the even lower springs. do u just ring them up and order it like that?
-
#16If you get the full kit from gaz, you'll have the rear dampers which are just held in by 2 bolts each, easy to DIY. And yeah, just ring them up, tell them what car you have and what kit, they will know exactly what you can and can't do with it so they will talk you through and help you get what you're after.Quote:Haha cheers i know everything will scrape but owell worth the look. not gunna get air ride but probs the coilovers. when i do what do they include that goes to the rear of the car? and i like the sound of gaz ones as they do do the even lower springs. do u just ring them up and order it like that?

#17looks complicated from what i just googled there! :/ and im guessing the only reason new dampers are good is for comfort and not to lower it then yeah?
-
#18is this a good method or is this the dreaded click method? http://www.suzukituning.com/PSA/Suspension/Lowering.htm

#19Hydros get your car low
-
#20http://www.suzukituning.com/PSA/Suspension/Lowering.htm is this a good method or no????
-
#21Thats the legit way mate as the tortion bars come out of the beam/trailing arms ect.Quote:http://www.suzukituning.com/PSA/Suspension/Lowering.htm is this a good method or no????

#22Let the tyres down.
-
#23It's ot as hard as you think, but you do need to get it right. If its not right you'll end up needing a new axel lol.Quote:looks complicated from what i just googled there! :/ and im guessing the only reason new dampers are good is for comfort and not to lower it then yeah?
You will need the rear dampers cause they will be stiffer and be able to stand a lot more than the standards... They're also adjustable.
That's the correct oneQuote:http://www.suzukituning.com/PSA/Suspension/Lowering.htm is this a good method or no????
