vtr revving high

   i have a 98 vtr, pretty much standard engine wise apart from an induction kit, but i thought it seems to rev a bit high, like 4000rpm at 70mph in 5th, and it can do speeds like 15mph in 5th also, it seems weird to me, and also my mate who has been in other vtr's said mine seems slow for a vtr, which i agree with, was just wondering if anyone has heard of any of this happen before as it has completely confused me lol

   Was it bang on 4000rpm? If the sensors are working properly - that's XSI / rallye final drive.
   
   I have a 1.1 box and it sits at 3500-3600 at 70mph - 4000 at 80mph.. Standard vtr boxes are long so if it was standard it would sit at lower revs.

   pretty much bang on yeah, what sensors would affect this? because it is pretty slow aswell tbf

   Get underneath and get the gearbox code off it, that'll tell you (unless someones rebuilt it in any old casing)
