rabbit desided he wanted to test my brakes tonight. Noticed that front p/s wheel locked up and none of the others did. So got back up to speed and hit the brakes, same result, 3 times. Any ideas?
1 wheel always locks

#2Are the tyres the same?
Same discs and pads each side and worn the same?
Have the brakes been recently bled as may be a few bubbles in the drivers side line....
Just a few ideas I can think of at the moment. At least you spared the poor bunny's life

#3tyres are same brand and appear to be wearing at the same ish rate. I'll have a nose at the pads tomorrow, could do with changing them anyway as they are getting a bit thin. Can you flush/bleed just the front brakes without having to do the rear, got broken rear nips!
-
#4Yeah you can do just the fronts. You will just be bleeding the fluid that's already in the brake lines. One side (passenger side) pay be giving more power to the calliper as the passenger brake line is shorter. The drivers side brake line is longer and may have air bubbles in that side, reducing the braking force to the drivers side calliper if you get me?
Just a thought. -
#5cheers for the ideas bud. What I'll do is do the disc's and pads as needed to do them anyway, give the calipers a good clean and check the tyre pressures! Failing that I'll just plough through the next rabbit!

#6Yeah check your tyre pressures, new discs and pads at the front, bleed the front callipers

#7rears shouldn't lock if using stock setup - bias valve sees to that.
lock up balance between the two is as above- down to disc/pad/hub condition, as well as how much weight is over the corner.
Remember you sit on the drivers side so there's less weight being transferred to the front passenger side. I'm hypothesising here. Try it with a similar weight mate in the car and see how you get on! -
#8you calling me a fatty
but seriously, thanks for the input. Will do pads and disc's asap.

#9condition of tyres also. a worn tyre has less friction with the road surface

#10whilst your at it replace the rear nipples
drill them out gently
start small and work up in size of drill
having shit rears wont help the situation
admittedly the rears do less but the do help controll the car and keep it stable
in also siding.towards weight balancing
saxos arent very well thought out in rhd tbh
engine and driver on front right makes that wheel harder to lock up
