parts problem

    i have v reg saxo vtr silver top engine with a 4 branch manifold need a cat for the mot so i searched the scrappy found the one i needed which consisted of the manifold itself and the downpipe with the cat on.. took it to the garage took the 4 branch off fitted the manifold the cat would not fit as the oil filter was in the way so tried a smaller oil filter half the size still wouldnt go on..

    any ideas or have i just wasted money on a manifold and cat lol
    is there diffrent types?

    u cant use it on yours as its newer style mani on older car.
    as in newer style can use older mani if you change the oil filter but not other way round

    Do you have a 3 or single plug ecu?

    Turned the airbag light off with resistor trick the other day aswell ready for mot and it's flashing again had a fiddle with it still flashing one fing after another French shite it's hard not to lose your patients with these cars lol

    iirc 3 plug vtr's had a filter relocation attachment.
    Could've been removed when the 4 branch was fitted.

    V plate is single plug, cat should be under car!

    The shell is v plate engine is a 3plug ecu definatly.. I have a 2" saxsport so fabricating cat under car is no option
