Will a dodgy icv prevent my vtr from revving past 1,5k revs? The gf brother pressure washed it as some of you know and cant get it running right since. I changed every sensor , coil pack aswell. Ecu dry as is all wiring from what can see.

#2Not sure on your question, however spray all the wiring sensors with damp start then take the car for a really long run, without trying to boot it.

#3I've done it with wd40 all the plugs the sensors have been replaced. Only thing not changed is the icv. Sounds fine on tick over just wont rev. The mechanic seems to think its sumat to do with air not gettin to engine.

#4Not 100% but i don't think the ICV has anything to do with throttle rev's. Just keeping it idling when there is no throttle input. There for i'd say no its no because of that. . . . .

#5I know you said that you have changed every sensor, but it sounds like a dodgy crank sensor to me.
How does it react when you try to rev it passed 1500k ?
The answer to your question is no by the way, the idle control valve will not effect the ability to rev the engine -
#6It reacts by trying to stall and shaking bad. eml flashing. Had diagnostics on it found nothing. I took crank sensor out and was dry. Only 6 month old aswell.
